Annie has been writing from the first time her mom placed a pencil in her hand. She started with stories about the barn cats and then won first prize in a Theodore Roosevelt essay contest. She took literature and communication classes for fun in college while earning two degrees in science. She scratched her writing itch early in her career by developing her own high school and college science curriculums, she built training programs for leadership development for a Fortune 500 company, and sermons for a local church.
Those sermons turned into devotional writing for The Glorious Table, where Annie writes monthly. Those training in leadership development have inspired her two non-fiction books in process. One will inspire realistic goal setting using the metaphor of a mother hen hatching chicks. The other will provide coaching with real life situations to help families live, love, and work together. Annie has spoken on both of these topics multiple times and requests for books soon followed.
Annie has been writing fiction for the past three years (stories about barn cats excluded) and has finished one full-length novel with a sequel in process. She is outlining a stand-alone historical fiction novel based on the farm crisis and exodus from the plains to California in the early 20th century.
As you can see, Annie loves to write. And she currently seeking representation for both her non-fiction and fiction works.
